Bridal Tips:
These tips will ensure your makeup on wedding day is it’s very best and most flawless.
Skin: Leading up to the big day many brides get a little over zealous and have facial peels 1 -2 weeks before their wedding. In my experience this is a big “no no” as you still may encounter flakiness and irritation to the skin which can effect the overall look of your makeup on the day. Whilst i am a big fan of facials with fruit acid peels etc. i think it is best to have these types of facials one month before so that your skin is fully renewed and at it’s best.
- Make sure you have eyebrows done the week leading up to your wedding day. Unkempt or shapeless eyebrows can really let down your make up look
- Also get into the habit of exfoliating and moistrising every time you bath so your skin is luminous whether you spray tan or not.
- Up your water intake and try to get a full 8hrs sleep so you have rested skin for the day.
- If you are prone to breakouts keep your makeup light the week of your wedding.
- Another tip if you are prone to cold sores talk to your GP about possibly taking Zovirax orally to avoid sporting a nasty cold sore on the day.
- “Bridal Botox” this is not essential and is up to personal choice. However i have seen great results particularly on my more mature bridal clients. I recommend any treatments of this nature be done at least one month before the wedding. A qualified Doctor/Surgeon will be able to advise you on what will work for you.
